Brad and Angelina donate $2 million to wildlife sanctuary

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donated $2 million to the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, which also happens to be where their daughter Shiloh was born.

“We want her to grow up with an understanding of her country of birth,” Jolie said.

The sanctuary is home to orphaned and injured animals that cannot be released back into the wild.

The family stayed at the sanctuary for Christmas and were given the opportunity to watch the staff work with the animals and even saw a snow leopard released into the wild.

Locals said the family seemed to enjoy their trip, while mingling with locals and spending time on the beach as a family.

Angelina said of the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary:

“We continue to be impressed by their hard work and dedication to the people and conservation of the land and wildlife of Namibia.”

That’s great news!

It’s awesome that they support not only endangered wildlife, but take time to educate their children on their roots.
