It appears that women are checking out their breasts more than their faces when looking in the mirror these days!
A new study found that breast implants have increased 39% and breast lifts 70% since 2000. Nose jobs, liposuction, face-lifts, and eyelid surgeries have all gone down.
Part of the reason for this shift is that easier options, such as Botox and wrinkle-fillers, are available, so changing your face isn’t quite as hard.
Here’s a rundown of the changes in surgery numbers of the past years:
Decreasing surgeries:
Liposuction: down 43 percent
Nose jobs: down 35 percent
Eyelid surgery: down 36 percent
Face-lifts: down 16 percent
Breast reduction: down 2 percent
Removal of breast implants: down 47 percent
Increasing surgeries:
Breast implants: up 39 percent
Breast lifts: up 70 percent
Increasing non-invasive treatments:
Botox injections: up 584 percent
Wrinkle fillers: up 172 percent
Laser hair removal: up 27 percent
