Brenda Song loves the Los Angeles Lakers so much she got put in the hospital!
While chatting with Jennifer Hudson on The Jennifer Hudson Show Thursday, the Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior actress revealed she’s a big basketball fan. So big, in fact, all the excitement from the Lakers sent her to the ER once! She explained:
“We were always fortunate to go to Lakers games. I literally went to the hospital watching a Lakers game at home because I hyperventilated because I’m a crazy person.”
Whaaat?! Oh no!

The 36-year-old said it all started with a superstition she had during one of the NBA games. She thought sipping her water might be the key to the players getting more points — but it backfired:
“You know, I was watching a game, and I just so happened to take a sip of water and they scored. So I just kept taking a sip of water every time they had the ball, ‘cause then they would score, and then we won, and I hyperventilated and I had to literally be taken to the hospital.”
Scary! But Brenda sees the humor in the situation, as she added:
“So I like to say I’m a die-hard fan, literally.”
LOLz! No arguing there! Talk about dedication to your team.
JHud asked Macaulay Culkin‘s fiancée just how big of a fan she is of the Lakers, to which the Running Point star confessed:
“I mean, I have a Lakers championship ring kind-of-huge.”
