Camp Spears is trying to distance itself from the debacle at the London club this past weekend.
Sources close to Britney tell us….
– She was never scheduled to perform or appear at the club
– The promoters of the night falsely spread info that BritBrit would be there
– Not wanting to let down her fans, Spears showed up
– After it became obvious that the venue was unsafely over capacity and the crowds too unruly, Britney did go to the club’s VIP area, where she stayed for a few hours and happily waved to fans down below
