Stanford Rapist Banned For Life From USA Swimming Events -- Get The Deets!

no title
Well at least it’s something!
After Brock Turner, a.k.a. the Stanford Rapist, was found guilty earlier this week of sexually assaulting a girl and was then given an EXTREMELY light sentence, it seems karma is FINALLY catching up with this scumbag.
Despite the news that Brock will probably only serve half of his jail time, even though he lied about his drug an alcohol use, at least he can’t compete in ANY competitive swimming event!

The 20-year-old, who earned a swimming scholarship to Stanford, has been banned from ALL swimming events by USA Swimming. In order to compete in any official events, including the upcoming U.S. Olympic Trials that help to select athletes for the games, you MUST be an member of the organization. We guess that hex those witches put on the young man is working!
Scott Leightman, a spokesperson for USA Swimming released a statement regarding the decision saying:

“USA Swimming condemns the crime and actions committed by Brock Turner, and all acts of sexual misconduct. Brock Turner is not a member of USA Swimming and, should he apply, he would not be eligible for membership.”

Scott went on to say:

“Had he been a member, he would have been subject to the USA Swimming Code of Conduct. USA Swimming strictly prohibits and has zero tolerance for sexual misconduct, with firm Code of Conduct policies in place, and severe penalties, including a permanent ban of membership, for those who violate the Code of Conduct.”

We could not support this decision more!
While we CERTAINLY feel that the 20-year-old deserved a much harsher sentence, we’re glad to see other people and organizations outraged by the injustice of judge’s decision.
What do you think about Brock being banned from competitive swimming?
