Brooke Shields Accuses Plastic Surgeon Of Doing NSFW Procedure Without Her Consent: ‘Rape Of Some Kind’

Brooke Shields is opening up about a shocking transgression at the hands of a medical professional.

In her new memoir Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman, out next week, the Mother of the Bride star revealed an intimate surgery she received — without her consent! Speaking to Us Weekly, she recalled a time in her 40s when her gynecologist asking whether the length of her labia ever caused discomfort. Brooke revealed she suffered from both bleeding and chafing — sounds awful! So her “wonderful” doctor made her aware of a “cosmetic” surgery available to reduce the size of her labia. She said wryly:

“Of course, it’s not covered by insurance because it’s considered cosmetic, which is very interesting. The last time I did check, I did not want to be a porn star.”

Ugh. Of course insurance would find a reason not to cover a medically recommended procedure. But Brooke wasn’t talking about this to be funny, she’s interested in reducing the stigma women always experience talking about vulnerable truths:

“I’d be lying if I said I’m not embarrassed to share this very intimate information. But, if we are to change the way we approach and talk about women’s health, then we need to bring up the uncomfortable but very real issues. Shame is no longer an option.”

She decided to go through with the surgery. Hey, if it’s going to fix discomfort, why not? Well… things didn’t exactly go well when she was under anesthesia.

She recalled her post-op meeting with the male Beverly Hills surgeon who conducted the operation — and the horrifying thing he revealed to her:

“He informed me that he threw in a little bonus.”

Uhhh, what? Elective surgery isn’t the time to call an audible! It’s not his call to give her anything she doesn’t — whether he thinks of it as “a little bonus” or what! But he did… What he gave her was a vaginal rejuvenation. For those who don’t know, that’s a procedure to tighten the vagina. What the hell. And he did it without her being able to consent whatsoever. She said:

“It felt like such an invasion — such a bizarre, like, rape of some kind.”

That’s completely horrifying. Especially because she said the surgeon “legitimately proudly explained to me that he, you know, threw in a little twofer.”

She and her gyno were both obviously upset by the decision, with Brooke explaining:

“Nothing pointed toward this need to be tighter or smaller or firmer or younger, especially there.”

She felt such “shame” and “anger” that she didn’t even tell her husband Chris Henchy for the longest time — AND never sought legal action so as not to have to deal with lawyers pushing her around:
