NBC Entertainment co-chair Ben Silverman said some hopeful stuff about the ratings loser/Sex and the City wannabe, Lipstick Jungle on Tuesday.
It’s not cancelled…yet!
“Lipstick Jungle is so strong and has such a passionate base among a coveted demographic. That kind of show will have the same approach, and we’ve already begun that approach, as we’ve used with Friday Night Lights. We have some incredible channels in our portfolio and we have sister networks that love the show as well. We are analyzing what we need to do to keep that show on the air.”
For its third season, cult fave Friday Night Lights returned on DirecTV and later on NBC via a cost-sharing arrangement with the satellite operator.
In these shit economic times, could NBC find a corporate sponsor to pony up money to help Lipstick out?
Maybe Brooke will put up the money herself!
