Nicholas Brendon may no longer be with us, but his lawyers are still pursuing a legal battle on his behalf.
According to TMZ, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star was involved in an Ohio lawsuit with contractor Stephen Britton when he passed away last week at 54, and his lawyers very much still intend to go through with it.
Legal docs obtained by the outlet reveal Nicholas had sued Britton for more than $120,000, claiming the contractor left unfinished work in his Ohio home. In his suit, the 2000s actor claimed he loaned Britton $20,000 in 2025 and was never repaid.

Britton fought back though, filing his own legal docs claiming the late actor berated and threw objects at employees on the site. He claimed his employees were scared to work at Nicholas’ home, as there were various weapons laying around, including axes. The contractor further claimed Nicholas attempted to track him by placing an Apple AirTag in his work bag, but Nicholas denied ever doing so.
In total, Nicholas was demanding $121,260 plus interest. Now, his lawyers claim his estate will at some point name a representative, who will then rule on the matter.
Our hearts continue to be with Nicholas’ loved ones. Rest in peace.
