A few days after posting his original tweet calling the former Olympian by her birth name Bruce, the 28-year-old went on Twitter again to give a heartfelt apology.
He wrote on Thursday afternoon:
I sincerely apologize for my thoughtless insensitive remarks. I in no way meant to hurt or demean those going through a similar journey.

Although my comments were made in innocence, I deeply regret the negative effect they’ve had on so many.

Innocence?
One Twitter user called Drake out on being ignorant and he agreed while responding with:

It’s good to hear the musician has learned the error of his ways.
Everyone has their own opinions about everything. It’s not necessarily our place to judge their journeys, but hey, we’re all only human.
We commend you for your honest apology, Drake!
