See What Carlee Russell Tweeted JUST Before Reported Alabama Highway Abduction!

As police in Hoover, Alabama continue to investigate what happened to Carlee Russell, her most recent Twitter posts are now coming to light.

We’ve been covering the case of the 25-year-old nursing student for more than a week now. As you will recall, late last Thursday night, Carlee reportedly saw a toddler walking along the side of Interstate 495 just outside Birmingham. She called 911 and stopped to apparently assist the small child before disappearing.

A little bit more than 48 hours later, she abruptly turned up at her family’s home. After being rushed to receive medical care, she spoke to police investigators once and claimed a white man with “orange hair” allegedly “came out of the trees” alone with an unseen woman to abduct her while she was trying to help the young child.

Since then, Carlee has refused to speak to the police again. Furthermore, the Hoover Police Department has publicly stated they have been “unable to verify” her claims about the alleged abduction. Plus, that law enforcement agency has checked highway surveillance cameras and been unable to find proof of a toddler walking along the roadway at the time Carlee initially called 911.

Now, as the confusing case continues to take turns in the aftermath of Russell’s alleged kidnapping, her tweets are coming to light. Last Thursday night, not long before she called 911 to report the toddler’s presence, Russell tweeted three times.

In the first post, which was sent at 8:55 pm local time last Thursday, she wrote:

“today was a GREAT day God be looking out im telling you!!”

Then, a minute later, she tweeted:

“someone to tell you ‘i love you’ and don’t got a reason.”

And not long after that, at 9:19 pm, she tweeted a crying face emoji with this message:

“yeah i want a family now”

Per police, Carlee’s call to 911 came in about 15 minutes after that last tweet, at 9:34 pm local time.

You can see all three tweets in chronological order (below):

For the next 49-ish hours after the 911 call, Russell was unaccounted for. Her family, law enforcement officials, and volunteers all over Birmingham frantically searched for the nursing student following her disappearance. Then, at 10:45 pm on Saturday night, she walked up to her family’s home.

In the aftermath of that whole situation, as we noted, cops were able to talk to her once. She spoke about the alleged abduction and “complained of a headache” per People. Detectives noted she had a “small wound” on her lip, her t-shirt was torn, and $107 in cash was inside her right sock.

From there, cops have struggled to find evidence verifying Carlee’s abduction claims, the whereabouts of her alleged abductors, or the existence of the toddler she reportedly saw.

At a Wednesday afternoon press conference on the matter, Hoover PD Chief Nick Derzis confirmed Carlee has not spoken to cops again after the initial interview. He also gave his very frank skepticism about Carlee’s story:

“I do think it’s highly unusual that the day someone gets kidnapped, seven or eight hours before that they were searching the movie Taken about an abduction. I find that very strange.”

And he openly noted the cell phone data investigators have parsed which confirmed Carlee traveled “about 600 yards” on the side of the highway trailing the toddler as she spoke to 911 dispatchers:

“I’m not saying it couldn’t happen. But to think that a toddler, barefoot, that could be 3 or 4 years old could travel six football fields without getting in the roadway, without crying, without anything, just moving down, it’s very hard for me to understand.”

To cap it all, he ominously said this during that jaw-dropping press conference:

“There are many questions left to be answered. Only Carlee can provide those answers.”

And now the tweets come out…

What a crazy case. Reactions, Perezcious readers?
