It looks like there’s a new story to add to Carnival Cruise’s laundry list of recent bad publicity.
A shipyard worker has reportedly gone missing after the disabled Triumph cruise ship broke free from its mooring in Mobile, Alabama.
If that name sounds familiar, it’s probably because it’s the same boat that broke down in the Gulf of Mexico, leaving passengers stranded in a poop-filled cruiser for FIVE DAYS!!!
Carnival spokesman Vance Gulliksen says the ship didn’t make it too far, but it’s still unclear where the worker was when it broke free. The U.S. Coast Guard believes the boat began to drift away due to the high winds reported in the area Wednesday afternoon.
Petty Officer Bill Colclough and his crew are currently searching the Mobile River for the missing man.
Hopefully the worker is OK and Carnival can put and end to the horrible publicity they’ve been getting!
