Carrie Underwood is the latest celebrity hopping on this season’s orange trend for the June cover of Glamour magazine.
The country megastar gets glam in a Rochas dress and subtly seductive smile, and reveals why even though she’s made it, she’ll ALWAYS keep her working class roots close to her heart!
Carrie says:
“[I write the way I do] because country music is for real people. I think it would be very hard to write about my Louboutins. Do you know what I mean? My giant house, it├óΓé¼Γäós not relatable. But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don├óΓé¼Γäót think we├óΓé¼Γäóve lost that mind-set. We don├óΓé¼Γäót have a bowling alley in our basement. We don├óΓé¼Γäót have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in L.A. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don├óΓé¼Γäót care about stuff like that.”
Talk about down to earth!
Underwood also dishes on the first time she managed to indulge in needless luxury!
“My first stupid purchase was an accident. I was in Paris and went into one of those big, name-brand, fancy-schmancy designers, and I picked up a sweatshirt. Maybe I didn├óΓé¼Γäót understand the price tag. I├óΓé¼Γäóm really bad with numbers. But when I went to check out, that sucker was $2,000 [And] I├óΓé¼Γäóve [only] worn it twice!”
Ha!
We think $2,000 doesn’t seem like such a hefty price tag to us, especially since she’s a millionaire! But srsly, who CARES what kinda car you’re driving around in when you’re walking around in Loubies?!!!
