Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra‘s heartbreaking miscarriage hasn’t deterred their plans to expand their family.
On Thursday, while stopping by Kailyn Lowry‘s Coffee Convos podcast, the Teen Mom OG stars opened up about their hopes for more children.

As you surely know, Catelynn and Tyler have had quite the parenthood journey. After becoming pregnant as teenagers, they gave up daughter Carly for adoption. Then, 2015 resulted in the twosome’s nuptials AND the birth of their second child, Nova. Most recently, on TMOG, it was revealed that the pair were briefly pregnant with their third child.
Sadly, the couple lost the baby, resulting in Catelynn checking herself into a mental health facility. So, it’s a pretty big deal that Tyler admitted to the Teen Mom 2 star:
“I want more kids. I definitely do.”
And it appears that Lowell feels the same as her husband, as she added:
“We definitely want more kids, especially after the miscarriage and stuff.”
We’re so happy to hear this. Of course, following their tragic loss, Mr. and Mrs. Baltierra aren’t rushing to get pregnant again. Catelynn continued:
“We’re kind of not rushing into things right now. Because we were there, and then I had the miscarriage. Then I just went downhill, I want to make sure that I’m healthy and happy.”
As for her mental health struggles, the 26-year-old reassured those listening that she is “still working on [her]self” and is doing “way better.” The MTV veteran noted:
“I did a whole med switch, I did genetic testing and found out that the medication I was on for five years doesn’t even work for me. So, they put me on different medications and they seem to be working really well. It all stems from the trauma in my past, so I’m going to have to keep digging deep into that.”
Although, if another pregnancy occurs, she thinks it’ll be “awesome.” That’s the spirit!!
