Not only is week two of Coachella finally here, but it officially means festival season has kicked off!
Of course, the only downside to the weekend-long partying is figuring out how to get your hair to not fall flat after day two.
But don’t worry, this is where celeb hairstylist, Charles Baker Strahan, steps in to EXCLUSIVELY show you his easy tips!
Stars like Miranda Kerr, Blake Lively, and Mariah Carey trust their tresses with this mane master, so you’re in good hands.
Get all his pro tips by watching the video (below) or follow his easy step-by-step GIF guide and you’ll have no trouble recreating these cool ‘dos yourself!
First, Charles shows you how to set your hair for the perfectly imperfect look, as well as sharing how to keep it fresh and moisturized to get you through the weekend.
Step 1: Create a DIY sea salt, coconut oil spray by heating up: 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, and 2 tablespoons of sea salt. Allow mixture to come to an almost boil in a saucepan, and when cool, pour into a little spray bottle for easy use.

Step 2: Mist the spray lightly over the top of your hair. Detangle.

Step 3: Taking a diagonal section of just a bit more than an inch and clip it back so you start with the section underneath. With a medium-sized curling iron, wrap the hair around and let it sit for a second. While the hair is still hot, twist it down upon itself and clip it in.

Step 4: Continue curling the hair and clipping it in until each section of the hair is done. After having let it cool, take down the clips and unroll the twisted sections.
Step 5: Run your fingers through the new curls, starting at the scalp to get the most body. But if there are any flyaways, use a bit of rosemary salve rubbed between your hands to apply over any pieces that need to be tamed.

Step 6: Finally, smooth the front sections with a curling iron. And voila, you’re set!
Now, onto getting you festival-fresh with the use of a couple accessories for Day 2. Boho chic is totally in!
Step 1: Create a witch hazel spray to remove the sweat and freshen the hair from the previous day. Add half parts witch hazel and half parts water in a little spray bottle. Spritz on a makeup wipe and run it over the tops of your hair to clean it up without having to use powdery dry shampoo.

Step 2: Add accessories to your newly-freshened locks to prolong the life of it! By using a braid wrapped around your forehead, you’ll have an easy down ‘do that will last you all day. Clip the braid in the back with some feathers or whichever clips you prefer.

Step 3: Bring more texture to your Day 2 look with tiny braids created under the hairline.

Step 4: Or for a more badass look, wrap a bandana around your forehead and instead style it with a chunkier braid.

And there you have it!
We can’t forget about Day 3! Continuing with the same prep, follow these easy steps to keep your gorgeous mane looking picture perfect!
Step 1: Go over and brush through the hair to get rid of any tangles. Then, mist the hair with the DIY sea spray you made for Day 1.

Step 2: Split the hair into three sections: right, left, and back. Add a fun hair necklace down the part that will extend around the back.

Step 3: Staring with the back, gather the hair together at just below the neck and tie the hair together in a ponytail using an elastic. Tuck the ponytail in and roll the hair up until it’s just below the back of the hair necklace.

Step 4: Clip in the hair using a bobby pin, wavy side down, as well as pinning down the hair necklace.
Step 5: Now with the sides, make a loose, soft braid on each side and wrap it around the back of the ponytail. Pin it in and then repeat on the other side.

That’s seriously all it takes! And don’t worry about those flyaways, they only make ‘do more fun and casual for the festival.

Three days and that was so effortless!
