How nice to see these two getting along once again!
To recap, back in August, Simon Cowell tried to convince Cheryl Cole to return to the UK version of X Factor instead of the US version, but she never responded and reportedly hadn’t spoken to Simon since!
Then, we learned that Cheryl arrived in El Lay, and we were wondering if there was any chance that Simon could be inviting her back to X Factor US.
Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen, but we were pleased to hear that Cheryl made a friendly gesture towards Simon by hiring a plane to leave the following message in the sky in front of Simon’s South Beach place:
“Simon Cowell is 52 today! Ha ha ha! Love Cheryl xoxo”
According to reports, Simon found this to be “hilarious,” and a source had the following to say about it:
“Cheryl knows he likes to keep his birthday quiet so he thought it was very funny that she was teasing him over it. They had a strong friendship outside of work. The past couple of weeks they have been back in touch and there├óΓé¼Γäós no doubt they missed each other├óΓé¼Γäós friendship. Cheryl├óΓé¼Γäós been totally reborn in the past few months. That├óΓé¼Γäós why she doesn├óΓé¼Γäót care about poking fun at Simon. And she always used to worry about what he├óΓé¼Γäód think and say all the time but she has a sense of freedom now.”
Ha! Cheryl also blew up Simon’s b-day spot on Twitter, where she posted the following:
“Simon Cowell is ’52’ today├óΓé¼┬ªhe is officially in the overs category..Hehehehehe.. (sic)”
How cute! Sounds like Cheryl found a nice way to show that there are no hard feelings with Simon, whilst simultaneously wreaking a bit of revenge against him.
