The Chik-fil-A in Rancho Cucamonga is fed up with whatever the rest of the chain locations are saying about “biblical families” and not liking same-sex couples. They’re so fed up that Corey Braun, the owner of that location, showed up at a pro-same-sex rally just to give out coupons for free meals, and to talk to the crowd about how he doesn’t care about what the other locations do or say!
Honestly, it was pretty touching!
The problem is, some of that money going into his location filters back to the parent company, which is filled with anti-lgbt nonsense. But still, nothing gets back to them if the same-sex supporters are getting free food, right?!
Here’s what Braun said:
“There were a lot of things said over the past year. I wanted to show that Chick-fil-A doesn’t discriminate against anybody. We serve everyone. We’re happy to serve the community and this was an opportunity to have this group come in and show them our hospitality regardless of their beliefs, sexual orientation, or whatever. “
We LOVE this statement, and we suppose the the company as a whole could be against what COO Dan Cathy said when he voiced his opposition to same-sex marriage. But how can we trust that the higher-ups there aren’t big bigots like Dan?? Braun continued:
“Chick-fil-A has never been about hate. I think things were taken out of context. The COO Dan Cathy was asked about his opinion on marriage and he just supports a biblical view of marriage.”
Seems like an excuse to us. Why would a company that’s never been about hate let a hate-filled man be their COO?
Still, like we said: the food is free, so why not? Just remain skeptical while eating those fries and make sure not to buy anything by accident! LOLz!
