There seems to be a preconceived notion that children raised in families with gay parents are less happy, or don’t do as well in life as children with straight parents.
But new research is starting to dispel those notions!
Not only are children with gay parents happy and normal, but many are actually healthier and are closer to their family than many children from “normal” families.
They are also VERY accepting children!
Here’s what a researcher said:
“Because of the situation that same-sex families find themselves in, they are generally more willing to communicate and approach the issues that any child may face at school, like teasing, bullying, overt homophobia and rejection. This fosters openness and means children tend to be more resilient. That would be our hypothesis.”
That’s incredible!!!
And yet we’re not totally surprised!
We’ve seen some pretty amazing people already, who were raised by gay parents, succeeding in life!
We’re sure we’ll see plenty more before it’s all over!!!
