Chris Brown’s song Turn Up The Music may be the highest charting single of his career in the UK.
The highest he had previously achieved was number 2 back in 2006 with his song Run It!
Even though the song is pretty tame, some critics are calling it controversial ever since Rihanna did a remix of it.
Rihanna said:
“We did two records, one for my fans [the Birthday Cake remix] and one for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn’t be a divide, you know, it’s music and it’s innocent.”
Chris had slightly stronger words:
“Let [the critics] be mad! We make music. Don’t like it, don’t listen!”
Seeing as how the Rihanna remix has no plans to be released, it looks like Chris may climb to the top of the UK charts all alone.
