Chris D'Elia Breaks His Silence On Accusations Of 'Grooming' Underage Girls & Asking For Nudes

Chris D'elia breaks silence on grooming underage girls accusations

Chris D’Elia has responded after accusations of him “grooming” underage girls, asking for nude photos, and inappropriate sexual misconduct flooded Twitter on Tuesday night.

The comedian and actor broke his silence Wednesday, releasing a statement to TMZ in which he denied meeting any of the teen girls who tweeted out picture proof of their alleged interactions.

He shared with the outlet:

“I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point. All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me.”

As you can probably guess, soliciting nude photos of underage girls is a serious criminal offense and would also include possession of child pornography.

Chris concluded his piece though by taking responsibility for past actions without further going into detail:

“That being said, I really am truly sorry. I was a dumb guy who ABSOLUTELY let myself get caught up in my lifestyle. That’s MY fault. I own it. I’ve been reflecting on this for some time now and I promise I will continue to do better.”

The actor, who played the role of a pedophile in the second series of Netflix‘s You, doesn’t specify exactly what he’s “truly sorry” for, but it does make us wonder it has something to do with the dozens of females who tweeted out about his shady and possibly illegal behavior.

As we previously reported, a woman named Simone Rossi took to the social media platform to share screenshots of her alleged interactions with the now-40-year-old in 2014 when she was only 16 years old. In the direct messages, he allegedly attempted to get naked pictures from her, along with suggesting they hook up a year later in 2015. Rossi wrote:

“imagine being 16 and being groomed by a stand up comedian twice ur age and the only reason you never met up and never got physically m*lested was because u had just gotten a boyfriend ur own age”

Others posted about their alleged experiences with him too, some as young as 16, while some were older. One account, SheRatesDogs, compiled a thread of allegations against him, some of which you can see (below):

Regardless of D’Elia’s statement, a police investigation still needs to happen, don’t U think?? There are way too many claims for this not to be taken seriously by law enforcement!
