We’ve got some good news and some bad news about Chris Meloni, your beloved tough love cop from Law & Order: SVU.
Bad news is that he is still making his exit from the show this season. Sad, but true. However, unlike several previous reports have suggest, Det. Stabler will NOT be killed off when the show returns in the fall. That leaves the door wide open for Meloni to return should he want to.
So, GOOD NEWS!
But see, now this begs the question of how exactly Stabler will make his exit from the show. When asked about it, Robert Greenblatt of the Peacock network was coy, saying:
“I think you should just watch and see. It’s not a big shocking mystery.”
Oh, but it is! What would make Stabler want to leave his team and his partner Benson?! There would have to be a damn, damn good reason for him to go before they ever got a chance to get together, right? RIGHT?!
We really hate the waiting game…
