After all the bad guys he roundhouse kicked in the face for being a-holes, who knew Walker Texas Ranger was completely against equality?
Ugh! Come on, Chuck!
The conservative action icon is apparently terrified of gay scoutmasters in the Boy Scouts of America.
We’re not really sure what kind of consequences he is proposing would occur if they were allowed, but he’s furious over a possible connection between the pro-gay Obama administration and BSA National Board Member James Turley.
The latter wants to “encourage dialogue and sustainable progress” toward the LGBT community’s participation in the organization that has a “century-old policy to ban gays from leadership.”
In an opinion piece published on AmmoLand.com (of course…), Norris poses a series of questions suggesting that President Barack Obama may be rewarding Turley for working “from within to seek a change” in the BSA’s bigoted and DATED policies.
The 72-year-old Republican spokesman never really proves a significant point other than the fact that Turley and Obama share the same views on equality. In an effort to provoke some kind of thought, he writes:
“Is it a coincidence that Turley came out swinging against the BSA├óΓé¼Γäós century-old policy to ban gays from leadership and that he has such close affiliations with the pro-gay Obama administration?”
Umm…probably not any more of a coincidence than the fact that we’re coming out swinging against the BSA’s policy banning gays from leadership too! A LOT of people are, dude. Get a clue.
This isn’t a political scandal. It’s simply an example of people working together to make sure that other people ARE NOT discriminated against for their sexual orientation.
We’re sorry Chuck’s still living by a prejudiced set of rules that were put in place a hundred years ago. Just like the dinosaurs, however, we know that the policy will eventually become extinct.
