A North Carolina woman is reeling after receiving a blood-curdling photo from her very own co-worker.
On Saturday, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office released a statement regarding a double homicide investigation they were tipped off to after Woodleaf resident Amanda Burr reported being sent a graphic photo of her husband in her home. The sender? Her own co-worker Jonathan Davon Freeman (pictured above, mugshot)! And not only was her husband dead in the photo, but Jonathan’s wife was, too! WTF!!! The PD reported:
“Amanda Burr called 911 and stated that a friend named Jonathan Davon Freeman sent her a photograph of her husband, Bryan Burr, deceased in their home. It was also reported to deputies that Jonathan’s wife, Teri Freeman, was also deceased in the home.”
What! He was her “friend” and he did THAT?? It’s just so incomprehensible…
Luckily, Jonathan was still at the scene when the PD arrived:
“When officers arrived, they found Jonathan still on the scene and confirmed that both Bryan and Teri were inside, dead from apparent gunshot injuries.”
So devastating.
Police obtained a search warrant to investigate Amanda and Bryan’s home, and through “evidence collected from the scene combined with incriminating statements Jonathan made to people he contacted after the killings,” they were able to charge him with two counts of murder. According to Law & Crime, Jonathan also confessed to the murders in an interview after being read his Miranda Rights.
For now, the 44-year-old suspect is being held at the Rowan County Detention Center with no bond and will appear in court later on Tuesday.
So, so sad. Our hearts go out to Amanda. Rest in peace to the victims.
