WTF is going on between these old pals??
Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Pete Davidson have been friends for years, both on and offscreen. Heck, they even became business partners recently, investing in a decommissioned Staten Island ferry to turn into a hotel/bar and restaurant. But a bombshell report last week in The US Sun calls their entire relationship into question!
A source told the outlet the former co-stars are no longer on speaking terms and can’t even stand to be around one another. The insider spilled:
“Pete and Colin can’t be in 30 Rock together. Something big happened and Colin is now refusing to be in the same building, let alone the same room as Pete.”
WHOA! “Something big happened”?? What could that possibly be? It clearly seems to be something Pete did, as the insider added:
“Colin doesn’t want to be associated with Pete.”
Damn! It can’t be the drugs or the girls, even the car crash thing. That’s all old news now.

Could it be a business thing? We know Pete wasn’t at the inaugural event on the ferry, a NYFW show. But another source assured the Sun their plans for the ferry — which they purchased at auction for $280,000 — were still full-steam ahead. Except, presumably not that fast since it’s a ferry?
So if not business, what? What’s the “something big”?
Well, on Thursday DeuxMoi revealed on her Deux U she’s gotten an inside scoop on the situation. And her source is downplaying the “big” feud talk, saying the headline was “a little dramatic” and what’s going on between them is “not this huge feud”:
“A big falling out is not accurate at all. It was more of like, a sooner or later. Virtually everyone who has ever been close to Pete winds up putting some distance between them and Pete because he’s just a lot to handle and has a lot going on emotionally.”
Damn, that’s harsh. But anyone who has spent time with an addict probably can relate to the sentiments… The source continued:
“The Pete you become pals with when he’s in a really good and solid space is not necessarily the Pete you’re gonna get six months later. This is not to say that Pete is in a bad place right now, it’s just that he is very full of emotion. And commitments to things can vary wildly from month to month and even week to week. Colin is far more grounded and consistent.”
That makes sense. Clearly Colin is a family man now, he and Scarlett Johansson have kids to think about. It’s a different life. The source concluded on a hopeful note:
“So it’s just not a phase in their friendship where they’re going to be on the same page doing that much together, or where Colin feels good about working on projects with Pete right now. That could change in the future, and Colin hopes it will.”
Hmm. So they’re really downplaying these feud rumors. Was there never a “something big”? Or does this source just not have the full picture? Because that first source wasn’t describing a situation where friends grow apart, they said specifically that Colin won’t be at 30 Rock if Pete is going to be there. That’s way more than just different paths.
