Colin Kaepernick continues to take a stand… by not taking a stand during the national anthem.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback knelt during the national anthem before an exhibition game on Thursday against the San Diego Chargers, continuing his protest against the social injustices running rampant in the country today.
Fans booed the 28-year-old before The Star Spangled Banner was even belted out by Petty Officer 1st Class Steven Powell, in honor of the 28th annual Salute to the Military night.

Kaepernick was heckled practically every time he touched the ball, but the NFL pro wasn’t the only player who refused to stand this time around.
Not only did teammate Eric Reid drop to a knee, but the same night, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane also refused to stand during the national anthem ahead of his game against the Oakland Raiders:

Kaepernick’s controversial protest has been enraging fans ever since he remained seated before his game against the Green Bay Packers last Friday, and the pro isn’t backing down.
With two additional players already participating in the sit-in, there’s a chance this could snowball into a league-wide protest for social change.
What do YOU think of the players’ refusal to stand during the national anthem?
