When Nashville was canceled over a month ago, fans held onto hope long enough for CMT and Hulu to come in and save the day — and now they’re being rewarded in a BIGGER way!
Earlier this week, there was a bit of a scare when it was announced that Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples would no longer be on the show — would the two leads Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere be back?
Well, wait no more, Nashvillians! Sources close to the hit musical show told Variety that Connie and Hayden are both set to return for the fifth season — along with the rest of the original cast!

Aside from Britton and Panettiere, that would include Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, and Chris Carmack all coming back as series regulars.
Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz have been named showrunners for season five — though there aren’t a whole lot of other details.
Honestly, we’re just happy our two favorite country singing ladies are back for an encore!
