Cristiano Ronaldo is officially a guilty man.
The soccer star received a two-year suspended jail sentence on Tuesday after pleading guilty to tax fraud, according to reports out via the Associated Press.

By pleading guilty, Ronaldo cut a deal where that two-year suspended sentence was handed down to him instead of an actual jail sentence; thus, the star athlete will not have to spend any time behind bars.
He will have to pay about $22 million in fines, though.
The star appeared at Las Audiencia Provincial in Spain alongside girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez today to accept the sentence. He reportedly spent about 45 minutes in the courtroom, and did not comment to the media afterwards.
Now, at least, this court case is behind him.
That’s probably for the better — because he’s facing other far more serious allegations, too.
