A Cuban actress and influencer ended up in the hospital after dabbling with Ozempic — and is now warning followers of the dangers!
Lisandra Silva took to Instagram over the weekend to share details of her terrifying experience taking the trendy diabetes drug for weight loss. In a message to her two million followers, which has been translated to English, she wrote:
“Do you know who recommended it to me: A doctor, and I tell you [I tried it once] because they talked about it so much and I ended up in the hospital”
Oof… That’s just awful. Especially if a doctor recommended it to her! We mean… This woman does NOT need to lose any weight, let alone the kind Ozempic is for!
The 37-year-old went on:
“My sugar dropped so much that I had to call the children’s daddy when I felt like I was passing out & my kids were asleep next to me. Thank God nothing happened but I felt like I was dying and ended up at the clinic in a wheelchair.”
Whoa!!! That’s REALLY scary!

Lisandra didn’t provide any other details about why she was hospitalized or how long her recovery was, but she did go on to gush about finding her own version of Ozempic: diet and exercise! She added in the post:
“My OZEMPIC IS: Ayurveda Diet, Meditation, Exercise in Nature! Discipline, Determination, Mental Toughness, and Clear Goals! Health of the mind, body and heart! Please listen to my advice! There is nothing like a healthy lifestyle! DON’T MAKE IT UP!”
The Morandé con compañía actress also shared a video of her fitness journey and healthy habits. See her full post (below):
We’re so glad she’s found a healthier way to achieve her ideal fitness goal!
This, of course, isn’t the first time we’ve heard of a hospitalization due to Ozempic use. In September, Kate Moss’ little sister Lottie revealed she had a seizure after taking a dose intended for someone nearly double her weight.
So scary! Seems like these are really good warning signs — if you’re NOT significantly overweight, do NOT try Ozempic! This isn’t for those stubborn last 5 lbs, y’all!
