Kate Moss’ little sister is recovering after being hospitalized for a seizure, reportedly caused by an Ozempic overdose. And her story is really eye-opening about the dangers of the drug for people who don’t genuinely need it for health reasons.
In the latest episode of her Dream On podcast on Wednesday, Lottie Moss opened up about her terrifying experience with the drug earlier this year. She told listeners:
“A few months ago, I was not feeling happy about my weight, I had a friend, and she could get it for me. It was below board, from a doctor, but it wasn’t like you go into a doctor’s office and he prescribes it for you, takes your blood pressure, and takes tests, which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic because at the end of the day it is a medication, it is dangerous and really meant for weight loss of people of a very large size.”
Wow, she’s awfully self-aware of the fact she didn’t need the medication!

The 26-year-old went on to admit that the dosage she was prescribed was for people “100 kilos and over” — that’s about 220lbs. Clearly Lottie is NOT 220 lbs. Even when she started — when she “was not feeling happy” with her weight, she was only up to 132 lbs! She revealed:
“I started at 60 kilos (132 lbs) and then I went down to about 57 (125 lbs) with the first dose. Then I went down to 54 (119 lbs). It was crazy, I think my lowest was 53 (116 lbs).”
That’s right. We’re talking about a very small woman here. Even at her heaviest, nowhere near the weight a reasonable physician would prescribe Ozempic!
It’s kind of hard to believe she felt she had to resort to drugs to lose weight. It just goes to show how pervasive the idea of this miracle drug has gotten. Young girls especially need to know drugs like these aren’t a substitute for good diet, exercise, and sleep patterns.
Lottie had no business being on Ozempic. And things got BAD for her. She revealed:
“I felt so sick one day, I said to my friend I can’t keep any water down, I can’t keep any food down, no liquids, nothing. I need to go to the hospital, I feel really sick. We’re waiting in the ER, it’s taking forever, we go and see one of the nurses and she’s like, ‘How much of a dose are you taking?’ And I was like, you know, however much, and she said, ‘Oh my god that’s so not what you’re meant to be taking.’ She asked how much weight I dropped in the last two weeks … she sent me to the emergency room.”
She continued:
“As soon as I get into a room where I get seen by another nurse, I literally had a seizure from how dehydrated I was. Which honestly was the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.”
OMFG! That’s terrifying! The young woman recalled:
“I didn’t know what was going on. My face was clenching up, my whole body was tense … Your hands clench up, and you can’t move them, and it feels like you’re gonna break your hand. It was honestly horrible.”
Seriously SO scary.
After that, she bid farewell to the medication and has been trying to get to a place where she’s happy with her body again. She told her listeners:
“I hope that by me talking about this it can maybe be a lesson to some people that it’s so not worth it. All these celebrities are on it right now and it’s so hard to look at that and see these dramatic weight losses … It’s so hard to see that when maybe you’re not someone who drops weight quickly, or you’re struggling with recovery and things like that. It’s just so not what we need right now. “This ‘heroin chic’ trend is coming back, which was something that happened in the ’90s. Like, we should not be going back there. This should not be a trend right now. Where did the body positivity go? I don’t understand.”
Well, her big sis was one of the models back in the ’90s that started that trend! You can listen to her full story (below):
WOW. Wow, wow, wow. We hope this is a lesson for a lot of people out there! Ozempic is a serious drug! It’s there to treat serious problems and NOT for those stubborn last few lbs!
