Messy, messy, messy!
If you thought the drama surrounding MomTok queen Taylor Frankie Paul had finally cooled down, think again. The latest revelations coming out of the reality TV chaos surrounding The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives are giving fans whiplash — and her on-again, off-again ex Dakota Mortensen is RIGHT at the center of it all.
Season 4 of the Hulu reality hit ends with Taylor looking completely drained by the never-ending rollercoaster that is her relationship with Dakota. The 31-year-old influencer and MomTok founder had already been dealing with the fallout from learning Dakota had been seeing a close friend of Miranda Hope’s — something she believed was absolutely intentional.

In a confessional, Taylor did NOT hold back about that:
“Dakota knew what this would do. He’s not f**kng stupid.”
Yikes.
And despite gearing up for what should have been a life-changing opportunity — heading off to be the leading lady in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette — Taylor admitted her headspace was anything but calm. She said:
“There’s a part of me that even wonders if I’m capable of doing this, given the recent events. And then there’s another part of me that’s like, ‘Well, you already said you’re going to do it, so you need to do it. So pull through.’ So kind of very chaotic in the head for sure, which is no secret to anybody at this point.”
“Chaotic” is definitely the word. LOLz!
But here’s where things get REALLY wild! According to Dakota himself, he stopped by Taylor’s house the night before she was supposed to leave for filming to drop off their son, Ever. Pretty normal co-parenting stuff, right?
Well… not exactly. Because somehow that quick visit turned into an overnight situation. In his own confessional, Dakota described the moment leading up to it:
“This is kind of like the last, our last time seeing each other before she goes away. And yeah, it kind of feels surreal. There’s part of me that obviously, I want to go over there because she’s leaving and I’m not going to talk to her for, I think, two months. So yeah, I’d be lying if I didn’t think there was a piece of me that just kind of wanted to go see her, be with her, possibly for the last time. I don’t know.”
And then, when producers asked him point-blank what happened that night… he just laughed. Suspicious much?!?!?!
Word about the alleged sleepover spread FAST — because Dakota apparently told Jordan, which quickly made its way through the MomTok grapevine. By the time Taylor’s friends arrived at the airport to surprise her with a send-off, the gossip was already flying. Mayci spilled the tea in her confessional:
“Jessi tells us that Jordan told her Dakota slept with Taylor last night.”
And let’s just say the reaction from her friends was… not supportive.
Mikayla was straight-up disappointed:
“Just when we’re like, ‘Yes, she sees it. She sees her worth. She’s going to The Bachelorette. She’s ready to start this new journey. We’re so excited for her,’ she’s back sleeping with Dakota again.”
Layla didn’t sugarcoat it either:
“I’m definitely disappointed in Taylor. I don’t think this was a smart move to do right before The Bachelorette. To be frank, if I was one of these guys and I found out that she effed her baby daddy the day before meeting me, I would be extremely upset and pissed.”
For real!
Meanwhile, Mayci believes Dakota may have had an ulterior motive entirely:
“Dakota’s trying to pull out all of his cards because he’s desperate. He’s doing anything he can to get her to not go. I’m shocked, but I’m not shocked at the same time. I’m tired. I’m so over this.”
The situation only escalated when Taylor failed to show up at the airport with her family — leaving her mom Liann and sister Aspyn scrambling while the entire MomTok crew filled them in on the overnight drama… in front of the kids.
About that, Liann was NOT pleased:
“It makes me actually very sick that she would put this whole deal in jeopardy. Taylor not showing up at the airport is not only a bad sign for her journey in The Bachelorette, but also for MomTok, if she’s going to choose Dakota, who’s been kind of ruining her life the last three years, over something that is a fresh start. All of us in MomTok, we’ve all tried so hard to help, and we’ve all been there for her, but I think it backfired for her.”
Eventually the group rushed over to Taylor’s house, where she insisted she was simply sick and exhausted.
In her confessional, Taylor explained:
“I’m feeling definitely sick, exhausted, drained. My friends want the best for me, and they’re in my house, trying to get me to go. And I really appreciate it. I’m just to a point that’s so low that I don’t even want them to help me.”
But the drama didn’t stop there.
Later, Dakota dropped another bombshell at a Halloween party when he casually suggested Taylor might even be pregnant with his child. Yes, really. He said:
“Taylor told me the last time that we did it that she was like ovulating. Taylor, randomly in bed, she goes, ‘I haven’t had my period yet,’ and I’m like, ‘What, from when?’ And then she told me, and I was like, ‘Whoa, hang on.'”
At this point, even her friends seemed completely exhausted by the endless cycle.
Mayci summed up the situation perfectly:
“It’s always like, ‘F him, he’s disgusting. I’ll never sleep with him again,’ and like a day later, she has slept with him. It’s just mind-blowing at this point, like my brain can’t comprehend this madness anymore.”
For her part, Taylor admits the emotional connection between her and Dakota runs deep — maybe deeper than logic:
“He tries, I cave… And I know that going into The Bachelorette, I understand that it doesn’t look the best.”
And according to Taylor, that complicated bond may stem from old wounds about love and abandonment:
“To say there’s a wound there of like, if the only man in my life that was supposed to love me didn’t love me, then who’s gonna love me when they walk away? My dad, obviously, my ex-husband… but then you have Dakota. No matter what, my mistakes, his mistakes, I always come No. 1. He always chooses me at the end of the day. So yeah, it does get confusing.”
Uh, well, yeah — confusing is one way to put it.
But sleeping with your ex the night before filming a dating show where you’re supposed to meet a whole roster of new guys??? Sheesh! That might be the messiest pre-Bachelorette storyline we’ve heard in a while… and that’s saying a LOT!
