It could mean the end of infamous crotch shots as we know it!
Some smarty pants at NYU is developing a device to thwart paparazzi at their own game.
Adam Harvey, a telecommunications student, is using the science of “slave” lighting to ruin paparazzi photos.
The concept is simple: In professional photography, the photographer can coordinate the lights to react to one another, meaning when one flash goes off, another will follow in unison through a trigger. Essentially, this is what Adam intends to do on a smaller scale. He is creating a clutch purse with it’s own flash and trigger built in. That way, when the paparazzi flashes start going, so will the purses and the photos will become useless.
Harvey is currently working on the patent and hopes to have the bag ready for sale by Spring 2010. Lindsay Lohan has already put in an order for three.
We’re not happy about this. If we didn’t know that our favorite celebrities wouldn’t be caught dead carrying anything that wasn’t a luxury brand, we would be worried. But we do applaud the guy for smarts!
