Over the past few days, millions of people have watched the heartbreaking footage in which 20-year-old Daniel Pierce was disowned by his family after coming out of the closet.
Fortunately for the Kennesaw, Georgia, native, some people in the world are more accepting than his family.
Left with no place left to go, Daniel’s boyfriend David set up an account to the crowd-funding site GoFundMe to help him get back on his feet, and it did NOT take long for him to receive a ton of support!
In fact, in just one day alone he managed to raise a whopping $48,808!
It still breaks our hearts to think Daniel would be met with so much hate from his family for just being himself, but it’s also amazing to see all of the support he’s received in just the past few days alone!
Hopefully this proves to others in similar situations that they are NOT alone and they are definitely loved!
