When we heard that former Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was headed to rehab, we were SHOCKED!
But when we found out what for, we’re actually happy that the 24-year-old is deciding to seek treatment!
Daniel is checking into a facility that will help him quit smoking!
He’s been open in the past about his addictions, including his admission of drinking WAY too much back in the day. He’s been in a booze dry spell since 2010 and now he hopes to be cigarette-free soon!
It’s not going to be easy though.
D. Rad usually smokes about a pack a day!
He’s already tried hypnotherapy and e-cigarettes but they just didn’t work. He sucks down twenty cigs daily, no problemo!
A source close to the actor disclosed his plan now, saying:
“It will be a kind of residential treatment programme, involving counselling, both individual and group, stress management and herbal treatments to help withdrawal symptoms. There├óΓé¼Γäós also a full exercise and activity programme which includes swimming, running and yoga. Daniel knows he has an ├é┬¡addictive personality, and he├óΓé¼Γäós been open in the past about his drinking demons. So now he sees cigarettes as his last major vice to conquer, and he is confident he├óΓé¼Γäóll succeed once again.├óΓé¼┬¥

One habit Mr. Radcliffe has kicked however – playing Harry Potter!
He said recently that he’d turn down a chance to play the young wizard again, even though J.K. Rowling just released her short story about an adult Harry!
OK. Well, while Daniel is trying to end his addiction to smoking, we’ll have to work on our addiction to him reprising Potter!
Ooof. This is gonna be tough!
UPDATE!!!
While we do hope that Daniel kicks the smoking habit (we want him around for as long as possible!), we’re getting word that he has no plans for a rehab-like situation to deal with it!
That’s right, we’ve heard from a rep and they’re officially denying it all!
Like we said, though, we hope he can someday leave the habit behind! Rehab or not!!
