Remember when rumors swirled about Darren Criss rejecting a Simon Cowell offer to host X Factor?
Well it didn’t happen how you think.
Darren finally set the record straight last nightat the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute Ball on Monday. His thoughts:
“Oh, it made me look awesome! I had nothing to do with it, and it made me look so cool. It was, like, free press… I’m happy to say that that was not actually true.”
Happy?? We would love to possibly have Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as co-workers?
Darren explained why he would have declined Simon├óΓé¼Γäós invitation anyway — and sadly it has nothing to do with putting A Very Potter Musical on ice. He said:
├óΓé¼┼ôI don’t have time. But I’m thrilled… flattered that my name was even in that world.”
So why didn├óΓé¼Γäót the Glee star squash what he called a “delightfully misunderstood misunderstanding├óΓé¼┬¥? He admitted:
├óΓé¼┼ôI didn’t want to get in the way. I thought it was so cool.”
You’re right. That WOULD have been cool!!
Oh well, there are worse back-up plans than Gwen Stefani!!
