Dave Coulier‘s battle with cancer is getting tougher.
The Full House star revealed last year he was diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He’s been going through chemotherapy — and has been remarkably positive throughout the entire situation. However, his wife Melissa Bring revealed in an interview with WXYZ on Thursday that things are getting harder as he nears the end of his treatment:
“He has some really tough days, and as the chemo has been accumulating it gets a little tougher and more difficult.”
Oof. So sad to hear about our Uncle Joey.

That positive outlook of his is unwavering, though, per Melissa:
“He has such a positive attitude, and you need that in order to really fight it. Every morning, if he’s feeling up for it, we try to put on a song and do a little dance party with the dogs, because when you do feel good, you have to celebrate that too.”
Aww. We’re glad to hear they’re managing everything so well, all things considered.
The photographer said “everyone is really rallying around all of us” and the actor’s strength through everything is “just innately in him”:
“He has had a lot of loss in his life when it comes to having to deal with cancer. He lost his mother, his sister, his niece. His other sister had it. I think for him, he takes every stride and really pulls strength from seeing the women that were so close in his life to powering through it, and he just wants to honor them.”
Back in November, the 65-year-old told Today he plans on being in “total remission” by February when his chemo ends. We’re rooting for him and hope he makes a full recovery!
