Dave Grohl Got A DIVORCE LAWYER! And His Wife Ditched Her Ring!

Well, this isn’t looking good.

When Dave Grohl announced on Tuesday that he had cheated on his wife — and had just welcomed a daughter with another woman — fans were shocked. After all, whatever his early rockstar behavior, he’s been such a family man the past two decades. He and Jordyn Blum have been married over 20 years and share three daughters whom he dotes on.

The Foo Fighters frontman made it seem in his statement that he was going to try to keep his beloved family together. He wrote:

“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Well… that may be his hope, but it sure doesn’t seem like it’s the reality right now.

According to a bombshell report in People, Dave has retained the services of a divorce attorney! Not only that, the mag’s source told them he hired the lawyer before he made the statement. So maybe coming clean publicly was part of a legal strategy? Ugh, that makes the one admirable part of this — his transparency in taking responsibility — even worse, if true.

We also may have a hint as to how long Dave’s wife knew now. He and Jordyn were photographed way back on August 1 just out and about walking in LA. At the time he was being hounded by reporters for his comments about Taylor Swift and her songwriting. So no one even noticed that Jordyn wasn’t wearing her wedding ring anymore! Look!

Maybe it’s a coincidence. Maybe she just wasn’t feeling the ring that day, and it was just about comfort. Plenty of reasons to take a break from the wedding ring.

HOWEVER…

With the timing, it seems far more likely the couple have been going through this rough patch for weeks already. After all, since the baby is already here, clearly this has been inevitable for months already. If we had to guess we’d say Dave hired the lawyer in response to the conversations he and his wife were already having.
