Well, we certainly didn’t see this one coming!
On Tuesday night, Demi Lovato took to Instagram and officially went public with her new boyfriend Austin Wilson! Surprise!
We had no clue she was even dating anyone following her split from The Bachelorette‘s Mike Johnson! Seriously. No breadcrumbs, no hints, nada. Way to keep such a juicy secret, girl!

The Confident singer shared a loving, black-and-white photo (above) which shows her shirtless and tatted up bae leaning in to kiss her cheek, and captioned the shot with, “My ❤️.”

Meanwhile, Wilson took to the app at the same time and shared a different mirror-selfie of ’em together with a near-identical caption:
“My Love.”

The starlet appears to be pretty happy, and from the looks of it, already well adjusted to this new relationship if she felt comfortable springing it on us like this. LOLz.

If his artsy vibe wasn’t already a dead giveaway, we’ll go ahead and confirm Wilson is a Los Angeles-based model. It’s unclear if he has any sort of agency representation, but his IG page boasts some pretty cool shots:

Their Mutual Connections
We’re still not 100 percent sure how and when the pair met, but it might’ve had something to do with their mutual connection through Lovato’s pal, Thomas Trussell III.
As it turns out, Austin was also close friends with the 31-year-old model who tragically passed away from a drug overdose last month. Like his lady love, Wilson shared a heartfelt tribute to Trussell on social media shortly after his death:

He’s Younger Than Demi
The Sorry singer is a full two years older than her new man, who celebrated his 25th birthday earlier this year on May 25:
