Seriously, leave the girl alone!
Sunday night Demi Lovato stepped onto the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to present the award for Best Collaboration to Kanye West and Katy Perry only to become a trending topic on Twitter because of her appearance.
We thought she looked AMAZING, but others were not so nice and seem to have forgotten that she overcame an eating disorder only a few months ago.
The Disney star with a booming music career was ridiculed as “fat”, but responded to the negativity before the night was over, tweeting:
“I’ve gained weight.Get over it.That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER.”
She then erased the tweet and replaced it with another, reading:
“Guess what, I’m healthy and happy, and if you’re hating on my weight you obviously aren’t. 🙂 #UNBROKEN”
Don’t worry Demi! Anyone focusing on your body instead of your talent CLEARLY doesn’t know what they are talking about. Oh yeah, and they aren’t selling out concerts in 30 minutes or less!
Ignore the haters and focus on your continued success, gurl!
