Long tour hours with a demanding schedule can make even the strongest person buckle.
This seemed to be the case for Demi Lovato, according to the latest from ET, with a source sharing that her struggles with sobriety were visible as early as this past spring.

The insider explains how the singer’s circle tried to get involved initially:
“She pushed away everyone that tried to call her out or help her including sober coaches, friends and management. The trouble is that Demi has been more successful than ever, and everyone wants a piece. It becomes this perfect storm. She pushed away all the people who are there to protect.”
But the source continued that the demands of the Tell Me You Love Me world tour life ultimately led the 25-year-old to lean into her addiction:
“The more stressed out and more she was overworked, the more she wants to escape and do the drugs and not stay sober. No one was looking out for Demi’s best interests anymore. She pushed away everyone.”
The confidant also added that she was working on another album and documenting it all for follow up to her documentary, Simply Complicated, on top of everything!
Our latest reports say that Lovato will seek treatment for her addiction in rehab outside of LA. We’re hoping she can use this time to give her body, mind, and soul a break!
