Demi Lovato is giving herself a permanent reminder that sometimes it’s good to love yourself — and there ain’t nothing wrong with that!
The superstar singer took to Instagram on Thursday night to reveal her latest tattoo — she now has more than 20! — which is one of the simplest yet, but also the one perhaps carrying the most personal significance for her.

As you can see (below), the 26-year-old inked up the inside of her left ring finger with a very, very simple and subtle “me” — you know, as an everyday reminder to love herself first before all else:

And SUCH a strong message here, especially considering everything Demi has been through recently. After all, you have to love yourself before you can love others, as the saying goes. And in the case of stars like Lovato, she’s finally able to love herself, and ought to go forward making healthy and empowering decisions to improve her life after a very trying time in her personal life over the last few years.
As we’ve been reporting, the Sober singer is back in the studio making new music now. Judging by this tattoo, too, it appears that she’s been seriously inspired — not just for the new ink itself, but hopefully, with her new music, as well! She certainly has a hell of a story to tell after what she’s been through…

As you’ll recall, Lovato suffered a near-fatal overdose in July 2018, after which she was hospitalized for nearly three weeks before entering a treatment facility to get back on her feet.
Now, it seems like she may be ready to tell even more of the story of her time struggling with addiction and overdose over the past several years, which should make for a very powerful, memorable album. As fans know, the starlet dropped her song Sober, all about her relapse, just a month before the scary incident.
We can only imagine this new project will delve deeper.
Regardless, she appears to be in a much better and healthier place now — and for that, we are SO excited and happy!
