Betsy DeVos‘ Education Department is already off to a GREAT start. NOT!
Over the weekend, the Department of Education took to Twitter to share some inspiring words by historian W.E.B. Du Bois — only they totally butchered the civil rights activist’s name. Smh.

The department posted:
C’mon, guys. You’re the department of EDUCATION, spelling is supposed to be your forte. Obviously, people had A LOT to say about the social media blunder (below).
Of course, this error comes shortly after Betsy was controversially appointed as the Secretary of Education… a position she is seemingly unqualified for. While DeVos’ team tried to apologize for the mistake, they faced ANOTHER typo as they wrote:
“Post updated – our deepest apologizes for the earlier typo.”
Talk about a face palm moment. The team has since deleted that embarrassing message and replaced it with:
Thankfully, followers didn’t let the department off the hook as they were dragged (again) for their inability to spell.
BURNNNNN. We have a feeling the education department is kicking themselves right about now…
