Bandage Dress Designer Doesn't Want 'Fat,' 'Voluptuous Women,' Or 'Committed Lesbians' Wearing His Outfits! WHAT?!

Well, this is a great way to alienate customers!
Patrick Couderc, the UK managing director of the Herve Leger by Max Azria brand famous for its figure-clutching bandage dresses, has recently come out and said that the tight frocks shouldn’t be worn by “voluptuous women” who have “very prominent hips or a very flat chest.”
Women with voluptuous bodies are the ones making these dresses look good, sir!
Open your eyes!!!
He also advises that “fat” and “older” women refrain from wearing the style as well:

“You women have a lot of problems. You will lose the plot. You will come and you will put a dress on and you’ll be in front of the mirror, like, ‘Argh, I’m so fat.’ Yes, you have a 12th of an inch around your stomach, it’s not really a disaster, and what you’re not noticing is that your cleavage is about two inches too low because you are 55 and it’s time that you should not display everything like you’re 23.”

How about just letting women wear whatever they want and keep your uncharitable thoughts to yourself?
But Mr. Couderc had one more gem to add:

“If you’re a committed lesbian and you are wearing trousers all your life, you won’t want to buy a Leger dress. Lesbians would want to be rather butch and leisurely.”

Ugh.
Smarter people working for the brand have already released a statement refuting these comments:

And maybe such a myopic view should be replaced by a more forward-thinking person!
