While the majority of America seemed more than happy with the Destiny’s Child reunion at the Super Bowl halftime show, it sounds like it almost went WAY differently!
Although we LOVED how the ladies sang Bootylicious and Independent Women Part I, along with Bey’s Single Ladies, we wished they included MORE of the girl group’s hits!
Where was Say My Name? What about Survivor? Or even their drumline-assisted Lose My Breath?
Well, it seems like the entire show was switched up last minute, with Queen Bey deciding to get rid of Bills, Bills, Bills — one of their biggest hits — to go with Bootylicious instead!
An insider revealed:
“They kept rehearsing with Bills, Bills, Bills and the band started talking about, ‘How come they’re not doing Bootylicious?'”
Now we’re hearing the ultimate reason why they ditched Bills was because it was “too slow” and didn’t quite fit with the rest of the set!
The source also noted that Bootylicious worked better because it intro’d the girls’ names!
Another change that Mz. Sasha Fierce made? She switched out their recently released slow and sultry song, Nuclear, for a much more upbeat Independent Women!
For the most part, we agree with the changes, though we guess there really wasn’t enough time for EVERY song!
Even more of a reason to do a reunion tour someday, right? Right?!
Maybe Bey can find the time after her big Mrs. Carter Show World Tour!
