Oh, this does NOT look good for Diddy! (Not that any of this has…)
On Friday morning, one of Sean Combs’ lawyers shockingly filed a motion to withdraw from the rapper’s counsel! Anthony Ricco wants off the case ASAP — and his reasoning is super concerning. In the motion, obtained by Variety, he expressed:
“Although I have provided Sean Combs with the high level of legal representation expected by the court, under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs.”
Jeez…
Anthony went on to claim there are “sufficient reasons” protected by attorney/client privilege that require him to be so vague about his departure. That said, he made up his mind after speaking with the 55-year-old’s lead counsel Marc Agnifilo.

The attorney insisted there would be no delay in jury selection or the trial itself based on his exit. The motion also notes that he informed the government of his intention to withdraw and that the government took no position on the request.
His motion will now have to be approved by a judge. Diddy’s trial is expected to begin on May 5. Puff Daddy will still be represented by five other attorneys, including Marc and Teny Geragos. The Sean John founder is currently behind bars after he was arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
We wonder what the heck changed for this attorney to suddenly want out! Imagine something so bad a defense lawyer isn’t even willing to sit at the table with you anymore! Is it something new? Something he just learned? Any guesses??
