Do Eunuchs Live Longer??

nuts-dudes-without-live-longer.jpg
This is a pretty weird subject, but a recent study found that Korean men who were castrated (had their balls chopped off), also known as eunuchs, lived on average 14 to 19 years longer than other men!
The study looked at a genealogy record from the 14th to early 20th centuries.
The researchers were able to find 81 eunuchs who were castrated as boys and they found that they were living, on average, into their 70s.
Most other men then weren’t living much into their 50s!
The authors of the study said:

“Our study supports the idea that male sex hormones decrease the lifespan of men.”

Well that sucks!
Hopefully science can find out why this happens and fix it!
Also, side note, the study authors don’t recommend men become eunuchs.
We’d have to agree with them too. We can think of two, big, dangly reasons not to do it.
LOLz!
