It took two years, but at least it is all over now.
Back in 2009, the Winklevoss twins accused Mark Zuckerberg of duping them into a settlement for Facebook that wasn’t as beneficial to them as it could’ve been. They wanted their fair share and they dragged Mark to court to make sure they would get it.
Mission unaccomplished!
Today, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that their settlement over the social networking site can’t be undone as the twins were found “savvy” enough to understand what they were agreeing to when they signed the original agreement! Official documents from the case have been obtained, revealing:
“This agreement precludes the Winklevosses from introducing in support of their securities claims any evidence of what Facebook said, or did not say, during the mediation… The Winklevosses can’t show that Facebook misled them about the value of its shares or that disclosure of the tax valuation would have significantly altered the mix of information available to them during settlement negotiations.”
Shut down! Greed gets you nowhere, buddies! How’s about you just enjoy the $20 million you were given and hush up!
