Dog Meat In South Korea: Is It Wrong?

Dog Meat In South Korea: Is It Wrong?

Eating Dogs

If you’re asking us, we say yes, but there are a few reasons why.

We are not a part of that culture, and our culture deems this unacceptable. But also, personally, we think dogs have the capacity to be companions regardless of where they’re raised. PLUS THEY ARE SO CUTE. Don’t do it!

Anyway, there was supposed to be a dog meat festival near Seoul, but it didn’t happen because of activists:

“We couldn’t possibly go on with the plan due to endless phone calls of complaint … now there are few willing to rent us a place for the event,” Ann Yong-Geun, a professor of nutrition at Chung Cheong University and an advisor to the association, told AFP.

Organizers of the festival had wanted to showcase the positive side of the dog meat industry in South Korea, where there are about 600 farms that raise dogs for meat, according to Ann.

But the question is, for people where this is commonplace, does it truly make it wrong? It makes you think.

From our stance, they should phase it out. Especially if it’s become so unacceptable as to shut down a festival.

This is just so hard to write. What do U guys think?
