Dolly Parton is sharing an update with fans after the death of her husband.
As we’re sure you know by now, the 79-year-old recently loss her husband Carl Dean after nearly 60 years of marriage. Their super-private relationship was a strong one, as in rare moments the country crooner had nothing but positive and sweet things to say about it. They truly spent their whole lives together after getting hitched in 1966, so you can imagine how tough this is for Dolly to adjust to.

The Coat of Many Colors singer took to Instagram on Thursday to thank her fans for all the love and support they’ve given her during this tragic time. She wrote in a heartbreaking message:
“This is a love note to family, friends and fans. Thank you for all the messages, cards and flowers that you’ve sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband Carl. I can’t reach out personally to each of you but just know it has meant the world to me.”
She wrapped up her post with a tear-jerking statement, referencing one of her iconic songs:
“He is in God’s arms now and I am okay with that. I will always love you.”
