The drama in DC just keeps getting messier, and this time it’s daytime TV royalty in the hot seat!
If you thought the ladies of The View could throw shade, just wait until you hear what’s being tossed right back at them from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
So here’s the tea. Joy Behar, never one to hold back, was doing what she does best on Wednesday’s episode of The View: stirring the pot and asking the questions that make conservatives clutch their pearls. The topic? Donald Trump’s military actions involving Iran. And let’s just say, Joy didn’t exactly hand out gold stars.

During the heated discussion, she challenged guest co-host Abby Huntsman to explain what, exactly, has been accomplished thus far in Iran. And in true Joy fashion, she went there with a biting jab that had viewers both gasping and giggling.
When Huntsman tried to defend the administration by pointing out the lack of publicly-available military intelligence, Joy pounced with a zinger about the word “intelligence” not belonging in the same sentence as Trump. Ouch!

Well, apparently that didn’t sit too well with the White House. Not even a little bit.
White House spokesman Davis Ingle fired back later on Wednesday with a statement sent to Us Weekly and others that was less “measured response” and more “full-on verbal smackdown.” And yes, it was as harsh as you’d expect. He said:
“‘Joyless’ Behar is an extremely unlikeable, talentless hack with a poorly rated TV show who clearly suffers from a severe case of ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome.'”
Yikes. Tell us how you really feel!
But wait, there’s more, because apparently, the statement wasn’t just about clapping back at Joy. It quickly pivoted into a full defense of Trump’s leadership and military actions, touting what Ingle described as major successes overseas:
“Operation Epic Fury continues to prove it is a resounding success, which is destroying the rogue Iranian regime’s national security threat to the American people. Iranian retaliatory attacks have declined by 90 percent because the Department of War is destroying Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities.”
And just in case anyone missed the point, Ingle doubled down with some glowing praise for the former president:
“Trump is working tirelessly every single day to ensure the American military continues to be the greatest, most powerful fighting force in the world that will crush our enemies and defend our great Nation.”
This isn’t the first time Joy’s sharp tongue has landed her in hot water with Team Trump. You might remember that just last year, the White House also lashed out at her and Rosie O’Donnell, branding them “irrelevant losers.” Subtle, right?

Love her or loathe her, Joy clearly knows how to push buttons. And the White House’s reaction proves she’s still very much under their skin. The real question is, who’s going to get the last word in this ongoing war of words?
