Twitter Sleuths Think Mike Pence Wrote That Op-Ed Against Trump! See The Evidence!

In case you missed the fireworks, a senior administration official wrote a damning op-ed about Donald Trump in The New York Times today.
TL;DR — They confirmed Trump is an idiot who thinks dictators are great and much of his cabinet is trying to protect the country from him.

Everyone is trying to figure out which official wrote it, and now some Twitter sleuths may have cracked it. How?
It all comes down to word usage.
See, the author of this op-ed may have slipped up and used a word not in most people’s lexicon: “lodestar.”

“We may no longer have Senator McCain. But we will always have his example — a lodestar for restoring honor to public life and our national dialogue. Mr. Trump may fear such honorable men, but we should revere them.”

Who uses that word kind of a lot? Vice President Mike Pence!

Some have suggested Pence’s speechwriter, but apparently he’s been using the word for years, long before his current writer.
Of course, there’s always the possibility it’s someone who KNEW Pence loves the word and wanted to throw everyone off the scent.
Though that seems almost too clever for this lot… right?
