Donald Trump apparently has a mole problem — and we’re not talking about the ones Stormy Daniels has seen.
On Thursday, the President suggested that the “Obama FBI” had embedded an informant within his campaign in 2016.
Trump attributed his claim to Andrew McCarthy, editor of the conservative National Review, who alleged that Glenn Simpson, co-founder of an intelligence firm that compiled research on Trump during the election, had testified to the Senate that the FBI had a “human source” within the campaign.

Though McCarthy said Simpson later backpedaled, saying he mischaracterized what his source had told him, the editor maintained there was “probably no doubt” that the FBI had a spy in the Trump campaign — and that was certainly enough for Fake News Donnie to source!
He tweeted:
Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI “SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN EMBEDDED INFORMANT.” Andrew McCarthy says, “There├óΓé¼Γäós probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.” If so, this is bigger than Watergate!

Yup, it would be bigger than Watergate — just like if a certain foreign country was caught meddling in a certain election in collusion with a certain campaign.
POTUS continued:
Despite the disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt, we have had the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history – by far! Sorry to the Fake News Media and “Haters,” but that├óΓé¼Γäós the way it is!

But Trump doesn’t seem too worried about that ongoing probe. In fact, just before his “Obama FBI” tweet, he sarcastically congratulated America on the one year anniversary of special counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe into Russian meddling:
Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History…and there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction. The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an Election despite the spending of far more money!

Luckily, Twitter informants were quick to school POTUS on a few things: that FBI informants are completely legal and, more importantly, the Watergate investigation took over two years to complete before Nixon resigned.
See what some of the Twitics had to say (below).

The courts have recognized that the government’s use of informants is lawful and often essential to the effectiveness of properly authorized law enforcement investigations.

Wait, so if the “Obama FBI” is what you call the FBI while Obama was president that would mean:
The “Trump FBI” is investigating yourself… and making indictments.
Damn, that’s stupid.

If you are going to say that the “Obama FBI” spied on Trump, then you must also say that the “Obama FBI” cost Hillary the election, the “Trump DOJ” assigned Robert Mueller to investigate Trump, and the “Trump Senate” says that Russia helped Trump win the election.

YES! TRUMP IS RIGHT! TRUMP-RUSSIAGATE IS BIGGER THAN WATERGATE! His staff & family actively working w/Russian Spies & trading our national security for money to an former communist exKGB dictator is THE BIGGEST SCANDAL since #BenedictArnold.

Watergate investigation: 2 years
Iran/Contra investigation: 4 years
Whitewater investigation: 6 years
Benghazi investigation: 4 years
Mueller’s Russia investigation: 1 year, so far

Your collusion with Russia to usurp American democracy is indeed bigger than Watergate.

At least he got one thing right.
